Three Women Plead Not Guilty to Robbery with Violence and Assault Charges in Kibera Court

Three women, identified as Fihima Yusuf Abdillahi, Rayan Abukar Ali, and Hibo Mohamood Abdullahi, have appeared before a Kibera court where they denied charges of robbery with violence and committing an indecent act with an adult.

The court heard that on July 25, 2024, at Lenox Apartments in Kilimani, Nairobi, the three, alongside others who are not before the court, allegedly robbed Norwegian national Maria Abdisalan Ali of her possessions and assaulted her during the attack. The charge sheet further stated that the accused threatened the complainant during the incident.

In a second count, the three women were also charged with sexually assaulting Maria at the same location and time. According to court documents, the complainant had been invited to the apartment by one of the accused, whom she considered a friend before the alleged crimes took place.

The accused appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu, who ordered a probation report to be presented on October 14. The report will assist the court in determining whether bond terms will be granted to the three women.
