Officers from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters have arrested two notorious drug traffickers in Nairobi’s Donholm area. The suspects, identified as Teresia Nduku, a Kenyan national, and Simba Kitwana Khamri, a Tanzanian citizen, were arrested during a well-coordinated operation.

Following their arrest, the suspects led detectives to their residence in the Manyanzani area of Tala, Kangundo Sub-County. A thorough search of the premises uncovered a backpack with a hidden compartment containing cannabis sativa, along with a digital scale and various incriminating documents.

Investigations have revealed that this particular strain of cannabis sativa is of foreign origin and was smuggled into Kenya through the Namanga border. The Tanzanian suspect is believed to be an expert in the skillful packaging and disguising of the illicit drug for distribution to consumers both locally and internationally.

According to intelligence reports, the street value of one gram of this unique cannabis strain is estimated at Ksh. 8,000. Further analysis is expected to reveal more about the drug’s distinctive characteristics.

The suspects are currently in lawful custody and will be processed before facing legal charges.
