Ministers Panic as Ruto Set to Address the Nation at 2pm

Cabinet Ministers and Principal Secretaries in the government have gone into panic after Statehouse announced that President William Ruto is scheduled to address the nation from Statehouse, Nairobi at 2pm this afternoon. the notice invite sent out to media outlets by Ruto’s Statehouse Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam, did not give an indication of what the address will be on.

Although the invite did not specify what the President would be addressing, there are expectations that he may have found the courage to disband or reshuffle his cabinet, whose performance has caused a lot anger among Kenyans for poor delivery and perceived corruption.

There is also expectation that he may be naming a Government of National Unity, which is likely to include ODM leaders close to Raila Odinga, most of who are believed to be salivating for those appointments. Among those hankering for the Cabinet jobs, whatever the circumstances, are Ali Hassan Joho, Wycliffe Oparanya and Junet Mohammed. Although Raila said yesterday that he had heard the protest against hi  joining Ruto in a baptized handshake deal, observers believed that he had not terminated his talk with Ruto on inclusion in the government as his lieutenants were allover Luo Nyanza supporting Ruto and discrediting the Gen Z demos.
