The Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mr Mohamed Amin, has reaffirmed the National Police Service’s commitment to working in collaboration with other government security agencies within the criminal justice system to ensure the safety of the nation.

Speaking to 66 graduates of the Senior Training Course at the National Police Service Senior Staff College in Emali, Mr Amin, who was representing the Acting Inspector General, Mr Gilbert Masengeli, highlighted the increased responsibilities that come with the coveted leadership positions the graduates had attained. He urged the newly appointed Assistant Superintendents of Police to prepare for the significant tasks awaiting them.

The six-month course, which brought together officers from the Administration Police Service and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, was specifically designed to equip the participants with the necessary leadership skills required for managerial roles at the Sub-County level.

The Commandant of the National Police College, Embakasi A Campus, Mr D. L. Lomwatu, emphasised the importance of professionalism and integrity among the graduates in the execution of their duties, while also underscoring the need for a positive relationship with members of the public.

Mr Amin was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of the institution, Ms Evelyne G. Nyamohanga, and was accompanied by the DCI’s Director of Personnel, Mr Francis Ndiema, during the ceremony.
