A Taiwan-based organization, Taitra, has announced the launch of a global competition titled “Go Green with Taiwan,” aimed at identifying and celebrating innovative green products and solutions that positively impact the environment. The top three winners will receive USD 20,000 (approximately KSh 2.8 million) and a fully sponsored trip to Taiwan for the awards ceremony. The competition is open for submissions until August 31, 2024.
James Huang, Chairman of Taitra, encouraged entrepreneurs worldwide to participate, emphasizing the competition’s focus on addressing environmental challenges such as renewable energy, sustainable waste management, and green building practices. The competition is sponsored by the Taiwan government and industry organizations, supporting enterprises in expanding their global reach.
Taitra, a non-profit trade-promoting organization headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, operates globally with a presence in Kenya through the Taiwan Trade Center in Nairobi. Cynthia Kiang, Director-General of TITA, highlighted Taiwan’s advanced green industry, positioning the country as a key partner in international green energy development and sustainable economic practices.
