Police Raid Nets Notorious Machete-Wielding Gang Trio in Yala

In a stealth raid, officers from Yala Police Station have successfully apprehended three notorious gang members who have been terrorizing Ginga village in Gem, Yala Sub-County. The gang members—Dominic Omondi, 23, Christopher Oduor, 20, and Fahad Junior, 19—were arrested at their hideout following increasing public outcry over their involvement in violent robberies in the area.

During the operation, police discovered a cache of incriminating items, including two blood-stained knives, a rungu, three machetes, an NYS jacket, and three bundles of cannabis sativa. The trio, well-known for instilling fear through brutal machete attacks, were linked to numerous criminal activities that left residents on edge.

The three suspects are now in custody and are being processed for formal charges. Their arrest marks a significant win for the police, following a string of violent crimes in the Yala area. Residents are hopeful that their apprehension will restore peace and security in the region.
