An administration police officer attached to the National Police Service headquarters at Jogoo House was fatally stabbed early Saturday morning at Blackwood Bar and Restaurant in Embakasi, Nairobi. The incident occurred during a Kalenjin night event at the bar.
According to a police report filed at Villa Police Station by Kennedy Mutunga, the bar’s manager, the stabbing took place at around 4:50 a.m. in the parking lot. Officers from the station responded to the scene and found the officer lying in a pool of blood, with a deep cut on the right side of his neck. Upon further investigation, police discovered that the victim was their colleague.
The officer’s body has been transferred to Mama Lucy Hospital mortuary, where it will be preserved pending an autopsy. Police are actively investigating the incident, considering possible motives, including a love triangle or a revenge mission.
Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
