In a crucial development, police officers from Baraka Police Station in Rongai Sub-County, Nakuru County, have successfully apprehended 19-year-old Ezekiel Kwame Mwangi, a suspected serial killer linked to a series of brutal murders in the region. Mwangi, who has been evading capture for weeks, is now in custody, bringing an end to the reign of terror he is believed to have orchestrated.
Authorities allege that Mwangi is responsible for multiple heinous crimes, including the defilement and murder of five-year-old Alice Ayuma Blessing on July 14, 2024. The young girl’s body was discovered abandoned in a maize plantation in the Mwangaza area, shocking the local community. Mwangi is also suspected of killing 34-year-old Mueni Mwalimu on August 7, 2024, in Kalyet by bludgeoning her on the head and stabbing her in the stomach. The very next day, August 8, 2024, at Mustard Seed in Kiamunyi, along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, Mwangi allegedly raped and murdered 28-year-old Moraa Mugambi by striking her on the head with a blunt object.
Mwangi is currently being held at Menengai Police Station, where he is undergoing further processing. Authorities are preparing to charge him in court, marking a significant step toward justice for the victims and their families. The police continue to investigate the full extent of Mwangi’s criminal activities as they finalize their case against him.
