Earlier yesterday, the Champions of Hope, Kilele Health Association, and Nairobi Hospice conducted a cancer sensitization forum at the DCI Headquarters. The event aimed to raise awareness about cancer, educating officers on the importance of early detection and regular health check-ups.
During the forum, officers received information on various types and stages of cancer, along with precautionary measures and coping strategies. Senior officers from different DCI Directorates also attended, reinforcing the importance of regular medical check-ups. The event provided a platform for cancer survivors to share their personal stories, offering hope and encouragement to those battling the disease.
The forum’s overarching message was clear: cancer is not the end of life but a journey that can be navigated with proper treatment and support.
