Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party co-Leader Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has criticized politicians who claim to support the common people but only serve their own interests.

Speaking at the AIC Makongeni Church in Thika, Kiambu County, during a Sunday service, Dr. Musyoka emphasized the importance of genuine leadership. “Hakuna Wajinga Kenya—you are either for the people or against them. It’s as simple as that,” he declared.

Dr. Musyoka, who also leads the Wiper party, was accompanied by former Kiambu County Governor Ferdinand Waititu, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, DAP-Kenya Party Leader Eugene Wamalwa, Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua, and Makueni County Senator Dan Maanzo.

Machakos County Woman Representative Joyce Kamene and prominent lawyer Ndegwa Njiru were also in attendance.

He urged Kenyans to stand firm during these uncertain times. “There will be a lot of lies, but you will see what God will do,” Musyoka added.

Addressing the state of the nation, Dr. Musyoka recounted their visit to a mortuary where they saw bodies riddled with police bullets. He also mentioned visiting the injured in hospitals across the country.

“We cannot pretend all is well. #HakunaWajingaKenya, as Wamalwa has so clearly put it—you’re either with Gen Z and the people of Kenya or against them. It’s as simple as that,” stated the Wiper leader.

Eugene Wamalwa added that not all is well within Azimio. “There are those who say Zakayo must go and those who say Zakayo must stay—there are irrevocable differences. We are saying you cannot have both!” Wamalwa asserted.

He praised Musyoka’s crucial role in stopping the post-2007 election violence and steering the country away from disaster both politically and economically.

Wamalwa also reminded the crowd in Thika of the “Men in Black” incident during the 1994 FORD Kenya National Elections, emphasizing the impact of political missteps.

Several leaders from Mount Kenya, representing Kiambu, Nyeri, and Nairobi counties, expressed regret for joining President William Ruto’s UDA party in the last general election, admitting they ignored former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s advice.

“We were sold lies by Zakayo. The economy has collapsed, our businesses have closed, unemployment is rising, and the cost of living keeps escalating,” they lamented.

These leaders have now set their sights on Musyoka for the 2027 general election, pledging their full support.

Reverend Jackson Kimotho Kisenge, who led the service, reminded worshippers of Isaiah 46:4, emphasizing that God is the sustainer of all ages.
